Core Aeration Services
Offered as a standalone treatment.
Over time, soil becomes compacted from foot traffic and weather, making it harder for grass to absorb what it needs to thrive. Aeration is like acupuncture for your lawn, but instead of thin needles, aerators have hollow tines that remove soil. It loosens your lawn’s tight muscles and encourages better circulation of oxygen and nutrients by removing small plugs of soil throughout the lawn, opening up pathways for oxygen, water, and nutrients to reach the root zone. This process encourages deeper root growth, improves drainage, and helps your lawn grow thicker and greener over time.
The Problem: Compacted soil restricts root growth and doesn’t give roots space to receive water, oxygen, and nutrients from the soil surface.
The Solution: Core aeration (also known as plug aeration) involves poking out small cores of soil from your lawn to relieve soil compaction, give roots space to grow, and increase the flow of nutrients, water, and oxygen to roots. While dethatching removes the layer of thatch above the soil surface, aeration removes actual plugs of soil from your yard.

Thatch is a dense layer of organic dead & living material such as grass, roots, and debris that builds up between the soil and grass. We will analyze your grass beforehand to make sure it is a type that regularly needs this type of service (some do not).
While a thin layer is natural, too much thatch can:
